Contents

The course will be based on the book "A First Course of Abstract Algebra" by J. Fraleigh, 1967. It will cover basic group theory and if the time permits also some ring theory.

Grade

The grade will based on: 1/3 1^st exam, 1/3 2^nd exam and 1/3 exercises.

Exams

There will be two exams, one in the middle of the term, the other at the end of the term.
